We are Ecovadis Bronze certified

EcoVadis is the global standard for corporate sustainability ratings. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. More than 125,000 companies worldwide have been assessed by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis' sustainability assessments are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The assessments provide an evidence-based analysis of performance and an action plan for continuous improvement.

FSC® Certification

The FSC system ensures that the world’s forests can be preserved through responsible forest management. By responsible forest management, we mean protecting the habitats of plants and animals and respecting the rights of local communities and forest workers. But it also involves harvesting timber and generating income whilst preserving the forest. A well-managed forest is less at risk of being cleared for other purposes, such as the establishment of palm oil or soya plantations and mining. Bunzl Verpakkingen Arnhem B.V. (Retail & Industry) and Bunzl Outsourcing Services B.V. (Foodservice) hold a multi-site FSC® certification under certificate number CU-COC-862784, and use FSC-C147269 as the FSC logo licence code for their own products. Due to this certification, we have added codes to the product descriptions for some paper and cardboard products in our online shop. An explanation of these codes is provided below:

#1 FSC 100%

The FSC 100% claim means that 100% of the wood volume used in the item comes from a certified forest.

#2 FSC Mix 70%

The Mix 70% claim means that at least 70% of the wood volume used in the item comes from a certified forest. The remaining wood comes from a verified and approved source.

#3 FSC Recycled

The FSC Recycled claim means that at least 70 per cent of the wood content in the product can be classified as post-consumer recycled material. The remaining content must be pre-consumer recycled material.
